Greenway's Gorilla Prep is our innovative foaming acrylic tire prep cleaner used explicitly with our Gorilla Coat. Gorilla Prep allows proper adhesion of tire coatings to the tire. Using Gorilla Prep ensures the tire is cleaned correctly and free of any remaining residue to ensure a proper setup and bonding of a tire coating.

Many tires can contain several layers of a buildup of old silicone tire dressings and other road contaminants. Without proper tire preparation, browning WILL show through the coating within a short period after the coating is installed. This is why it is vital to remove any existing grime from the surface and ensure no remaining cleaner is left on the tire's surface. TIRE BROWNING IS THE MAIN COMPLAINT AFTER THE COATING IS INSTALLED. THIS IS DUE TO INADEQUATE CLEANING OF THE TIRE SURFACE. Use Greenway's Gorilla Prep before applying Gorilla Coat. 

 

How to Use:

Dilute Gorilla Prep up to 10:1 with water. Wet the tire and surrounding rim to ensure surfaces stay wet and are cool to the touch. Liberally apply Gorilla Prep to the tire and allow it to dwell for a few seconds. Scrub using one of our stiff tire and wheel brushes. Rinse off any remaining solution.

 

  • More than likely you will need several applications of Gorilla Prep for complete cleaning.
  • Gorilla Prep will foam white once the surface is thoroughly cleaned. 

 

Use A FINAL RINSE OF 91 percent isopropyl alcohol AFTER the COMPLETE application of Gorilla Prep. While this step is unnecessary, this will ensure Gorilla Prep is completely removed from the surface to avoid any harmful interactions between Gorilla Prep and Gorilla Coat. Make sure to move the vehicle up a few inches during the cleaning process to ensure that the sidewall touching the pavement is adequately prepped and rinsed.
