How to Use:

Always start with a clean bucket that never had contact with the silicone. Silicone could have been present on a wheel and tire brush and then placed into that wash bucket. Even if you clean the bucket, silicone could still be present and entirely “flatten” the sudsing capabilities of any shampoo solution. Silicone is usually present in all your tire dressings and interior dressing products. If you used any product containing silicone inside the bucket EVER, do not use this bucket!

Wash and Wax can be diluted up to 128:1 (or more) and remain a very effective shampoo solution.  After adding approximately one or two ounces of solution per one gallon of water, fill the desired wash bucket up with high-pressure water to the desired level.

After you apply and wash the entire surface area, rinse the surface area from top to bottom. Greenway’s Wash and Shine is an excellent product to use after this step for added gloss, protection, and ease of drying. Dry vehicle with microfiber drying towel or soft chamois.

Car Detailing Tech Tip:

  • If you are completing the washing stage in the direct sun, you can always wash each side covered by some shade. After cleaning one side, turn the vehicle around to place the unwashed side in the shade.

  • After the vehicle's sides are complete, you can wash and prepare the car's other flat and vertical surfaces. If you are using Greenway’s Bugs B Gone, break up the front end into sections to avoid having the product dry on the vehicle surface. Your first step is to make sure to remove any bugs separately. Rinse the product entirely before washing or prepping any other vehicle's surface (we recommend doing bug removal before the entire vehicle wash).

  • Most detailers use too much wash solution. Professional, concentrated shampoos such as Wash and Wax do not require a large amount of solution to be effective. Remember, rinsing could become difficult and time-consuming to remove any remaining residue if you add too much solution.

  • Use a car shampoo such as Greenway’s Car Shampoo or Eco Wash that does not contain wax before a correction and protection detail. We do not recommend adding wax to the vehicle before proceeding with any compounding, polishing, glazing, waxing, or sealing stage.
